I had an odd dream... It involved a friend of mine from Highschool.. Michelle.. an ex who comes across gay & ends up getting vaporated (not cuz he's gay).. and summer school (non-remedial).. Programs based on scouting.. I wasn't allowed to be in the class I wanted to be cuz I was over qualified & oddly, Stephen was in it (the class).. & they were trying to upgrade me.. & my sister & my mom called to babysit while I am here trying to sort out this class thing & Rob's sitting there expectign a ride to work cuz he'd taken the morning off to see his son (Stephen) into his first day of school..

My Content strike starts at Thursday, March 20, 8:00 PM..
I did eventually fall asleep.. I'm guessing near or shortly after 8am.. & I get a call at 10.53.. Rob makin' sure I am up.. well, no.. I didn't get to sleep til around 8 & I had set my alarm fer 11.. so, no, I was still asleep.. But I was up & out the door at 11.15 fer my 11.30 Drs appointment... & now I am home.. & I shall have a nap.. I will set the alarm for 2 hours.. hopefully, I'll be functional at that point.. I'd like to wash the remaining dishes & vacuum the rest of the apartment..(living room/dining room/hallway) cuz I got the bedrooms done, both of them yesterday.. I'd also like to get the pull cord back on the light in the bedroom.. that requires extra balance so I might wait til Rob and/or Stephen are home.. I am hoping to get to sleep on time tonight. *sigh*

well.. I did it.. I've moved.. I am now somewhat settled into Sarah's.. my bed & my computer, & my TV.. are all in place.. And an air filter.. (thank God, cuz I am allergic to her cats) Tomorrow's job is getting my grooming products organized.. & maybe work on my desk..
I think I need to ask my mom to send some of my linens with Wendy on Friday when she picks me up - we're going to the Science Centre.. or else ask mom to come out on Thursday morning before her Bridge with them & send some of my clothes back with her.. - No, it's Thursday today - I've lost a day somewhere..
*sigh*

OMG! It's been like.. 2 Whole weeks since I've been here.. Bloody hell.. Been spending time on facebook.. I'm only reading back three pages.. if ther's anything important I missed, let me know.. I can't sit her to read back 2 weeks..
What's been going on?? well, lessie..
We went to the CNE - God that was Exhausting.. a whole damn day.. We're hoping ot go next Thursday too.. it's $5 after 5pm.. so after work, that makes a 5 hour day for me at the ex, walking around - I'm cool with that.. Rob asked me why I wanted to go back.. I just wanna be able to look in the building with a little more leisure.. not having ot worry about his stepson.. AND to see the cannonball thingy Rob wanted to see.. :)
My GP's on vacation... I've been fighting off infections & a few stupid injuries..
Rob Suggested that when my ODSP comes in to get a cleaning lady to help with most of the regular household chores.. I still gotta do dinner & dishes & Laundry once of twice a week.. tho Rob can help with that .. :)
I've got a lawyer to help with my ODSP & other disability issues.. the last week we've started playing phone tag..

Steven came down & we have a ceiling fan in our main room! ya - a three fans are up!
a walk - took some time to myself.
Stephen played goal last night for lacrosse again.. Rob thinks he's getting to be a pretty good goalie, just doesn't have support from his team.. Their last game is Wednesday at 8.30 up at Stouffville.. I will be going to that Game tomorrow.
Today I want to get the vacuuming done, cuz the rugs look horrendous & vacuum the couch as well.. If that goes well, possibly finish sweeping/re-sweeping the apt & mopping it down.. the osculating fan in the living room here needs to be cleaned off again, but that's an evening thing.. as is cleaning Rob's dress shoes for him.
We've been having a problem with the light in the bathroom flickering on & off, with occasional sparks & crackles behind the switch plate. I am hoping it's just an issue with the light switch & nothing more.. cuz that can be fixed right quick - Yay! Since it's a potential fire hazard they have an electrician coming in today.. 24hrs - not bad turn around time.. After he leaves, I'll go ask the super when the rads are gonna get done.. cuz we can't turn 'em on.. Which will mean a cold winter for us & a letter or two to the provincial/federal housing department.
Rob just went to work, & he's gonna have a late night tonight which kinda bites.. but either way, I am headed back to bed! I need my beauty (or functionality) sleep..Current Mood: Tired. , health, kelli, real, rob, sleep, stephen, to do, work
June 17th, 200711:00 pm: What's up!
Now, I'm going over what's coming up.. figured I make it two posts than go on in one post forever & ever..
So, tomorrow I gotta to some housework catchup.. dusting is the priority, then laundry, then vacuuming and sweeping.. We're hoping that Steve (friend of Rob's upstairs) will be able to pop down tomorrow and to put in the last ceiling fan up (we've had ones put up in each bedroom by Steve) in the living/dining room... It's probably me it just that little bit cooler..
We have noticed that the one put in the second bedroom doesn't spin as fast sa the one in the master bedroom, which sucks, considering that there's where most of the computer equipment is..
This Wednesday is Stephen's last lacrosse game & I am going up for it.. I'll prolly be meeting Rob either at his office or Finch station (the most northern subway stop).. I hope they do well..
I don't know what Rob's got planned for the weekend other than grocery shopping.. I'll guess we'll see.. Possibly reworking or reorganizing the home office..
I see my doc on the 28th.. Which is also Dave's birthday..
Rob & I are going to Montreal for about a week.. Rob's parents have a cottage in Lachute PQ that we're going to.. Not sure the day we're leaving the 5th or 6th.. we're taking the late bus home on the 10th so I'm home fer my appointment at the Environmental Health Clinic at WCH..

10:33 pm: Update!
It's been a while since I've updated properly.. Other than the dead bird, it's been since late May..
I had my Cousin's Wedding on the 2nd of June.. it was nice.. she's a guide leader so she had an honour guard.. that was kinda cool, but I'd have had the kids in formal uniforms not those damn casual shirts & sweat pants.. So not appropriate for a wedding.. I think Dave might be interested in that idea.. having a colour party from his scouting youth.. at his wedding - God know when that will happen.. Heh - I've been asked to be one of the groomsmen *grin*
I got a message from Women's College Hospital here in Toronto from their Environmental Health Clinic. It's a unique multidisciplinary clinic promoting environmental health, and to improve health care for people with environment-linked conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. Yay! So my appointment is in July.. So much fer a 6 months waiting time - gotta love name dropping * smirk*
Last weekend Rob's parents decided to go to Detroit forth weekend.. We were going ot have Stephen down for the weekend as a result.. BUT, Brian, the other son of theirs who live in his parent's basement was going to be in Vancouver on a business trip (I thought it odd over the w/e, but hey.. *shrug*) The issue there being that Rob's parents have two small dogs who don't travel well.. so they needed someone to watch the dogs.. Well, one of the dogs likes to pee - everywhere, especially in new locations.. So Rob & I ended up going up there for the weekend.. the dogs missed their 'mom' & 'dad' and were very active in the evening & overnight.. as a result, Rob ended up sleeping on the couch downstairs.. While I got the small double bed upstairs (I think it may even be a 3/4) all to myself.. Stephen & I played cards both evenings, while during the Day, Rob & I were out & about.. & God! was I exhausted by the end of the weekend.. and we got ALL our laundry done, which we brought up there is the new luggage Rob bought up on Friday.. Which will be nice for our trip to Montreal. So we've got furniture & stuff for our balcony which is nice :)
I went to Stephen's lacrosse Game last Monday Got to see him play goal.. They won, so he was happy.. I went to the Wednesday game too, but the other team only had 4 guys show up - need 6 to play.. so the game was forfeit.. they grabbed players from kids who just played or were coming up.. to play.. unfortunately they then lost the 'fun' game.. the comments was that since it didn't count was that the guys on Stephen's team didn't bother to try.. But there's 2 more game... this Monday at 9.30.. & the finals on Wednesday..
Rob & I recently upgraded our cable to have a PVR box.. a personal video recorder.. It's a cable box with a HD that can record up to 50 hours of time & it's saved in digital, so it's just as good quality as when it was originally broadcast in digital, unlike a tape recording. I've already recorded The Lab with Leo for Rob & Numb3rs for me.. He's watched his shows I haven't watched mine.. this will be useful esp this Wednesday to record CNTM on City at 8 while I am up in Markham :)
Rob spent the weekend just past setting me up on his laptop which is a faster machine.. He's going to snagg my drive from my desktop & pop it into an upright drive case & attach it to the laptop.. He's also going to get an external dvd burner.. cuz the CD player on here, which it's supposed to burn CD's, only reads 'em.. so he's gonna get a new drive.. but hey, I got a better machine..
He is such a sweetheart!

I now have almost no voice from hacking up the congestion in my chest.. if you call me.. don't expect me to actually answer the phone, or if I do, expect a grump growly, barely-there voice on the other end..
Rob wants me to go see my GP cuz he thinks I have an infection.. I've been watching my goobers, no sign of infection, yet.. Plus I see her on Thursday anyways.. I just hope I'm starting to mend by then..
I did laundry today.. I was in the middle of folding stuff when Rob called & my time ran out on the damn phone - I wish I knew how to check the minutes.. *sigh* I still have that laundry to put away.. I guess I better go do it & then head to bed..
Not sure when Rob's gonna be home tonight & if he's sleeping in the same bed with me (cuz of my cold) cuz Stephen had his first lacrosse game of teh season tonight.. Rob went to watch & got immediately drafted as coach. so, I will be loosing Rob 2 nights a week until late June.. I hope to go & see a few games myself tho :) When I am feeling better tho..
Got a call from LifeMark Occupational Services, a company that does comprehensive management of employee health. So I have some forms to fill out & consent to give to allow them to contact my GP.. I am going to talk to my GP when I see her on Thursday & ensure she backs me that I can't work right now, but are aggressively pursuing adequate treatment.

Stephen & I were talking this w/e & I had a thought come out of that I'd like to ask ya'll... There was discussion about one of the neighbours pot usage.. He asked me how I knew what post smelt like.. I dunno if that was his sorta side way of asking if I'd done pot, or what just simply curious.. But I would think at his age, being 15, that he's have some idea himself what it would smell like.. Not through direct means, I'd hope, but just exposure via friends or people at school, or whatever..

04:33 pm: Easter w/e
Stephen came for the w/e on Thursday evening & we just hung out & stuff.. On Friday, while Rob went to work, Stephen & I went to the movies.. We saw Premonition, the Sandra Bullock movie.. I liked it, Stephen said I was better than he expected it to be.. & then he comments that the guy who pays the husband is always getting killed off.. cuz in the trailer for Premonition you know the guys dies, but in the action movies that Stephen has seen him in, he dies & he was killed off of Charmed, the tv series he was ion... I wonder if he's gonna get killed off of Nip & Tuck..
Saturday Stephen got to go to the Hockey game - Leafs/Canadiens & Rob & I stayed home cuddled on the couch watching the game.. I am glad we won, but not glad that the Islanders won on Sunday.. Leafs are out of the playoffs.. :(
But.. Yesterday was a good day.. Rob, Stephen & I went out to Oshawa for my family Easter Dinner (Rob's parents were in Detroit).. Mom had bought perogies & cabbage rolls for dinner.. but had ham & potatoes (scalloped tho - uck) & other more traditional Eastery type foods.. (we're British by decent, not Ukrainian).. the girls enjoyed the egg hunt.. Kaden didn't quite get into it.. but he's not even 2, so I can cut him some slack.. Stephen did the hunt for Cassie down in the basement of my parents cuz last year she said it was too easy.. she said it was much better this year..
Paigey came in with a new t-shirt on the from said " I am going to be" & then on the back it said "the best big sister ever" That's was Tim & Crystal way of telling us that she was pregnant - YAY! She's due in October.. the 19th I believe I was told..
So with the good news, everyone was in a great mood :)
However, I am paying for it today.. I'm hurting pretty much all over.. hyped up on T3's.. & tired to all get out
I'm going to wait til Stephen in picked up in the next half hour or so by his grandparents, then go back & lay down.. & Yay - I can take another T3 now, which is good cuz the pain is creeping back up the scale, which is not good :(
btw, any suggestions for left over Easter jelly beans? Besides eating them, or giving them to Stephen??

Went to the Women's College Hospital's Women's Health Forum & Expo..
We (yes, Rob went with me) went through the Exhibitor's Hall.. I got info on Camping in Ontario.. Snaffooed some girl guide cookies from the GGC booth.. grabbed a wurthere's candy from another, cuz I didn't need the condoms offered on the other side of the table.. Got info on Thyroid, CFS. FM, scent-free products, Becel Margarine (including recipies), influenza, Women's College Hospital Foundation, .. Got a Chantalaine magazine & the complimentary copy of today's Star, some samples from Pantene & Garnier, a note pad ( God knwos I have enough of them), TWO 10% off gift card for January 07 for Richtree that I'll let Rob have, FOUR $15 gift cards from Fazooli's.. Entered in a few draws fro gift baskets.. 97.3fm was giveing ut decks of cards... Rob said he wanted his & mie.. I laughed & asked him if he wanted to play bridge ( you need two decks for bridge)
We did that in about 20/25 minutes between confrences..
We went to Two confrences.. They were both an hour long..
* The first one, at 1:00 p.m. was called "ENDOMETRIOSIS: TREATMENT OPTIONS 2007".. It was described as "Endometriosis is still an enigmatic disease. There are still many theories but the real cause is still illusive. The treatment should always be individualized depending upon the presenting symptoms and problems. They had three speakers.. Dr. Kay Lie is a Gyn who talked about the disease & showed examples & discussed different possible treatment options.. Jan Silverman discussed support & education for women with Endo.. She runs the Toronto Support group.. Carolyn Bennett was the last speaker & she spoke of her own experinces with Endo.. She's a Comedian, so she was fairly humurs in her descriptions..
* The second one, at 2:30 p.m. was called "HOPE AND HELP FOR CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME & FIBROMYALGIA".. It was described as "Everything you want to know about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia and couldn’t find anyone to ask. This session will educate patients, family and health professionals how to cope better physically, emotionally and legally with these chronic illnesses. " There were two speakers.. Dr. Alison Bested runs a Environmental Health Clinic both privately and at WCH and has extensive knowledge with CFS & FM.. She co-authored the book with the same title as the conference & discussed the contents.. Russ Howe, a lawyer & contributor to the book discussed legal issues liek what to look for in a disability lawyer.. he was a good speaker as well
Rob had bought me the book that Dr Bested wrote & I was able to get it signed..
We then went to meet Stephen for dinner & they went to the Toronto Rock lacrosse game.. The Rock apparently got their Butts whipped.. & Rob & Stephen are on their way home.. :)

Wow I am a meme Whore.. Other thanthe post about compubrat's new job, I've only posted meme's back to December 14th.. & then befoere that Dec 2nd an article on Fibro, then Nov 18th to let ya'll know I was alive.. & before that.. October 28th a post about the move.. lol.. then OCt 16th fer another moving post..
Wow.. I have WAY to many meme's.. I know what Peggy was talking about.. OK.. so here's a real-live, non-meme, human posting..
So the move went well.. We've been having our issues.. adjusting to each other, & learning how to function with each other living together.. Rob has concerns about my managin my health, esp since I have had quite a few crashes recently, but I'm lookin' fer new docs and working on my disability claim (stage one was denied - so we're into the appeals process)
Thanksgiving, that we have in October, not November like you American folks went fine.. Um.. I think Tim declined that day & choose nto to show tot he famil dinner with him & the kids..
I can't remember the date, but they had the official opening of the Laura Ellis Children's Library the last few months which we all went to & them time declined fer that fer dinner afterwards..Mind you he'd jsut gotten back from Detroit.. why he'd get tickets teh same weekend he had the librarby opening fer Laura I dunno.. *headshake*
Christmas was good.. spent it at Rob's parent's place as my parents decided to go to the cottage, which they had entirely to themselves, cuz Rob & I couldn't go, & Wendy & her mob were all sick & TIm was spending the holiday with his wife's family.. But Rob's brother Graham got me a candle which was really sweet of him.. I gave hi sbrothers all jars of Cookies.. there were 5 different kinds ( yes I did alot of banking) so, ther were Sugar cookies, 2-tone chocolate chip, ginger snaps, Alberta Honeys, & Shortbread.. It was funny.. Rob's dad saw teh sugar cookies at eh top & said, those top ones are mine.. I told him No, they're no.. He looked at me strangely.. I said "they're sugar cookies," ( his face dropped) "the shortbread are onteh bottom".. they he smiled.. & you shold have seen his face when he opened the box solelty of homemade shortbread that I gave to him.. ^grin^ he loved that..
I have a box of it to Rob'as best friend's mom, cuz she normally makes it but idn't have time this year & loves it.. Her eyes almost popped outof her head when she saw them *grin* I love seeing the expression on people's faces..
Now, Graham's brother on the other had has the entire jar devoured before we finidhed opening presents.. *grin* & teh guys were all very surprised when they foudn otu that I actualyl baked them.. that they were home made, from scratch..
Which reminds me of soemt hign my neice said.. she was 4 at the time.. she was going to make cookies with my mom.. so she told my mom, her granma to get her mix & let's get going.. My mom replied that she doens't make cookies from a mix, but from scratch.. my neice replied, well then get your scratch.. heheh.. I thought it was cute :)
Got lots of gift cards for Christmas.. When I have time & I am feelign up to shopping ( prolly when I have the car) I'll go over to Warden wherer they have the big box stores to go to Best Buy & Addition-Ells. I have a $100 Gift Certificate fer AE, plus a Membership awards certificate that give me $25 off, when I spend $50, so I have to spend $125 including tax.. :) Yay! Clothes - that fit!!
Rob's mom did try & I give her credit.. she got me an outfit, but it just wasn't my thing, so she gave me the receipt so I went & got some jeans.. I don't have any the fit quite properly..
I saw Meagan & Lindsay on Christmas Day evening.. & I Gave them their giftd.. they seemed to be glad with what I had got them.. Lindsay wants to redeem her sleepover that I gave her last year.. Rob said it was okay.. She wants to go to the YMCA gym.. SHe has a members hip, but I no longer do, so I guess I'll just use my new phone number for a free trial. :)
When I opened their present, Initially all I saw was some plaque tings abotu my birth month & I thoguth God, Catherine is a Fuckin' cheap little bitch.. But when I was putting the gift bags away, there was somethign else, the weight watchers magazine was renewed, & there was a p[icture of the girls.. only a wallet size, but I'm gonna see if I can scan it ot be bigger..
I've sent Jamie email about the girls, but he hasn't responded,.. maybe I should take a peek into his lj.. :) (**off to find & respond in Jamie's lj** Ha! Found him! hmm.. no posts since October :( ** I posted anyways**)
My family's Christmas was on the 30th.. My sister bought me clothes from thie little place - oh - I should email her.. (**off to email sibling**).. Um.. this little place in the mall where she works.. the sweatshirt was *sgrin* too big & the coat was hit length.. I haven't worn a hip length winter coat since I was in grade 8! Egads.. so they both have to go back, btu I appreciate the thoguth even if I have a huge effort to return it.. gift card from my bro & family.. Giftcards from my parents - basically a night out.. Keg GC & a Cineplex Odeon GC, plus some $$ fer a cab.. (my siblings got babysitting services..)
NYE was quiet for the most part.. we had Rob's son over & ROb's best friend Scott & Scott's family here.. they (Scott's fami) left about 12.30.. Steven went to bed around 1.. & well.. ROb got to sleep at about 2 or shortly thereafter.. but I got up at 2.19am & called the cops cuz the party 1 apt over, 2 flights up had all teh windows open & had turned UP the music.. *sigh* I got to sleep around 3am, WITH my ear plugs in.. Geeze.. some people have NO respect for other people..
It's been so mild lately that he kids in teh complex are out at night doing shit, one night they had a strobe light & were flashing it in people's windows.. a few other nights they had fire crackers going off.. ither ngihts they were just plain loud.. til 3am.. Once they threatened to start a fight with a tenant who asked them to keep it down so I called the cops.. noise is one thing, fighting is another..
but today was a good day.. well, health wise I'm really sore, but Rob & I had a good talk about us & our relationship.. We went over to the mall (Cedarbrae) & just checked things out.. got some dryer sheets from Zellers that were on sale fer $1.. we got 5 packs.. that will last a while since I only use a half sheet per load.. He looked at soem shirts, cuz he has a more dressy wardrobe requirement now at work.. Which reminds me, I have to hem his new pants.
We went over to Reids got milk & bread & then hopped the buss back, got a few groceries & came home.. Took some quality time for ourselves before dinner & Rob had a nap on the couch, which I think is where he's gonan end up fer most of the night.. I prefer him in bed beside me even if he is restless & I get bruises from our accidental leg contacts (I have a Dx of RLS & I bruise real easy cuz of my meds) *sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait from him to join me in the wee hours.

Last night (as in Saturday) was Stephen's bday party.. He had a sleep over & Rob asked me to come out & help .. Other than keeping Rob from losing his temper, I dunno how much help I was.. Esp when I fell asleep on the den couch at , like, 11pm.. and slept until Rob work me at 2.. that's when I ended up leaving to go home.. Stephen was up & heard me leave.. What was he doing up at that hour?? Apparently playing poker. Oi.. Teenaged boys..
So I got home & into bed & fall asleep fer about 4am.. woke at 8 fer a pee break.. then slept til my alarm went off at 11.30,, then enjoyed the snooze button, which I eventually turned off & actually woke up around 2.. Didn't get out of bed fer another hour.. but when I did I went over to peeningtons to exchange my Vday gift.. Rob's heart was in the right place, but I don't wear florals.. Only thing I have that's floral is a turtleneck that I ALWASY wear understuff.. so I exchanged it for a 2 pc cami & pant, in lace & silk.. I think it looks nice.. not sure if I'm goin to tailor th eleggs or not tho, cuz they're a bit long.. hehe.. maybe I should see how it looks in heals.. *EG*.. as my mind wandoers of int othe gutter in London.. *smirk*
Speaking of London.. the concert's a week away.. I know we have a hotel fer the night afterwards, cuz I am NOT driving 4 hours back, & than another half hour home afte a concert that'll likely ende between 11 & 12.. Rob has the next day off & we have hockey tickets, so I gotta make sure I get my laundry done & get that turtleneck from Cath for the game..
But tonight.. I'm having problems sleeping (despite the sleeping meds).. :( Feeling naseated.. my back is sore.. my leggs are restless, so that does not help.. I did about a half hour of some simple yoga, geared at my back & leggs, so hopefully that'll help & I'll be able to sleep.. I have no specific plans for tomorrow, which is good.. need to call my sister & possible hook up wiht her.. but I'll be sleeping in til at least noon.. yay!
AND I gotta find out what exactly is covered in my benefits from work in the way of dental.. the brochure isn't really all that clear.. If I have coverage it's likely 80%, but I dunno if it would cover a night guard which is my big issue.. I guess I'll have to find out..
